Credentials expire. The record should not.
Continuing education is recorded against the member as it is earned, and a transcript comes out of what is already there. Member data retention, access and erasure are handled deliberately rather than left to whoever last touched the record. When a licensing board asks, the answer is already written.
Tie credit to standing
Continuing education, transcripts and renewal recorded as they happen rather than reconstructed at audit.
Set retention and erasure as policy
What happens to a member record, and who can reach it, is decided up front rather than case by case.
