A saved card is charged on the day it should be, through the processor you already use and at the rate you already negotiated. A payment that does not go through gets another try, and then a person, rather than going quiet. The money that should arrive arrives, and the only renewals anybody looks at are the ones that needed looking at.
Bring your processor and keep your rate
Connect the processor you already use and the rate and contract you negotiated are unchanged. Or use the one that ships. The payment path is the same either way.
Retry a declined card and raise it
Most lost renewals are payment problems nobody saw. The ones that recover do so on their own, and the ones that cannot reach a person while the member is still a member.
